Dinner Program

THE BUCKNER FAMILY DINNER GROUP
“The group that prepared dinner for us that evening were the nicest people I’ve met in a long time. That is just what I needed after spending the day at the hospital with my injured 16-year old daughter.” –Mr. Michael Lingle
The kitchen is the heart of every home….
Most of our families spend the day at the hospital with their children. After many exhausting hours, it is a welcome gift to return to the House and find a meal waiting for them.
The Family Dinner Program helps reduce some of the tremendous stress experienced by the families, and ensures that families staying at the Ronald McDonald House have home-cooked meals without taking precious time away from their children.
- Volunteers provide dinner Monday through Sunday, with breakfast/brunch opportunities on weekends.
- Individuals or groups sign up to prepare meals for approximately 25 to 40 people – year round.
- Volunteers are needed for the Family Dinner Program at both locations.
- To receive further information or an updated list of available dates, please call 314-531-6601, ext. 202, or e-mail dinner@rmhcstl.com.
Although this volunteer opportunity is open to both individual and community groups, youth group participants must be in the 7th grade or older.
We are currently booking volunteer groups for this program for the 2009 calendar year. Dates fill quickly!
