Tab Tops
Last year alone, tab tops collected from friends of RMHC resulted in over 34,000 pounds of aluminum for recycling, raising over $17,000 to cover some of the costs associated with providing a “home-away-from-home” for families of seriously ill children receving treatment in St. Louis. Your participation makes a big difference for our families.
The Tab Top program is a great way for children, schools, offices, and other organizations to support the Ronald McDonald House. Groups are encouraged to collect tab tops off of aluminum cans for the House and return them to collection barrels at area McDonald’s restaurants or the Ronald McDonald House for recycling. To participate or acquire tab top boxes, please call 773-1100, ext. 216.
For every pound of tab tops collected, the House receives up to 75 cents. In the split second it takes to pull the tab from your beverage can, you could help make a difference in the lives of the families staying at the House.
Thousands of tab tops collected and recycled provide funds to cover the costs for families to stay at our three St. Louis locations. Please remember that every single tab top does help. Your donation does make a difference! Because the House is a non-profit organization, it is operated solely by funds raised through special events, individuals and corporations. If every school, if every corporation and civic organization, if every individual challenges themselves to perform the simple task of collecting their tab tops, the lives of thousands would be touched.
